Setanta / RTE in Northern Ireland

On one of the football sites, posters are saying that NTL will block out the RTE and Setanta live Saturday football matches. Apparently live Saturday matches are not allowed to be shown in the UK. Does anyone know if this is true?

I'm not subscribed to setanta, but was playing around looking at programmes when I hit the info key for the saturday match on there - and it did indeed say "Republic of Ireland customers only"

Which I though quite peculiar...

Yeah but if we were to subscribe, we still wouldn't get the match!
