Remote Control Problems with New STB

Hi,

I've just had a new Samsung STB installed (after 3 missed appointments). I have been having problems using the Remote Control and I have just diagnosed the issue. It seems that whenever I am doing some serious downloading the remote won't work. As soon as the download finishes, the remote starts working again. Controls on the front work at all times. Never had the problem with my old PACE box. Any ideas?

are you saturating your upload ??????????

Giving it some stick on download but not upload.

I thought the Samsung was supposed to have two processors so that the DTV and BB ran independent of each other? However, the way mine is performing, both grind to a halt. This includes impossibly long delays on the remote actually doing something, when my BB is doing only a moderate uplaod download. Bottom line, I think, based on why my PACE STB was replaced, if the signal to the house is poor (and the eng said evn thought he adjusted a tad, he couldnt get it into parameters), then the STB performance is gonna be left wanting.

I have just reconnected my RF feed so I can use the PIP on my TV. I wonder if that's causing the issue. I don't think the signal to my house is very good.
