Re: Calling all bikers!
a full bike licence from 19 years ago means you can ride anything.......until you try and insure it thats when they say you are a menace on the roads
i get my insurance from a firm called Hastings........for my 1200 bandit i pay about 200 quid for comp with free recovery.....every other quote i got was for over 800 quid

Re: Calling all bikers!
Just a thought but it's probably a good idea to sign up to this if you're going to ride a motorbike/scooter

Wasn't meant to be. Bike riders are unique in that they typically suffer serious head injuries resulting in the brain stem dying BUT the rest of the body remains relatively unharmed (maybe a few broken limbs). Makes them perfect organ donors. It's socially responsible to carry a card - everyone should.

I mentioned earlier that I have had a bike licence for yonks - actually its 30 years now.
Can I just say, in all that time, I have never been killed? At no point in my moped/motorcycling career have I felt the need to rip open my spleen and donate one of my vital organs in passing.
In the event of my untimely demise, I carry a donor card, and whether I fall over in Tesco's car park, trash my CBX into an oncoming HGV (some of you will appreciate what I mean - yes its a CBX ) or contract terminal hay fever, the powers that be can use any of my bits as required.

I think its best if you stay out of this thread then. I honestly cant obide people who try and scare everybody who likes something they themselves are scared of.

Unique is a tad inaccurate - by upsetting certain factions, it is entirely possible to sustain death as you have described above without having to ride a motorcycle I suggest you endorse your card - DONOR - kindly do not gratuituously stomp on my remains.
