Re: DNS problems today ?

I'm in E7 and the web has been dog-slow for the past two days.

Non-web stuff like chat, mail and RSS feeds seem fine. UK-based sites are reasonable, but anything from across the Atlantic you can forget about.

Re: DNS problems today ?

I forced my browser to use a different proxy (62.255.64.4:8080) and now everything seems to be working very smoothly.

Cheers!

Re: DNS problems today ?

An admin from Chetnet says that NTL are looking into large packet loss in the RM postcode areas - so hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Cheers

Re: DNS problems today ?

I'm frightened to say it but it seems fixed !!

No more time outs, no more stalled traces and even Broadband plus is working !
(love the new MTV Live btw !)

I hope I haven't jumped the gun but its been ok for about 15 mins now - thanks to whoever fixed it, and thanks to everyone for all the help

Cheers

Re: DNS problems today ?

I concur - unlocked the proxy, and this site is responding as fast as usual .... touch wood (well, chipboard actually) , it seems to be ok now.
