Reg server denied my browser?!?
I've got an old dial-up email account that I occasionally use and I went to add another address when I get this message...
Quote:
Your browser has issued a request that the registration server has denied.
Please contact ntl customer support if the problem persists.

...which would indicate an temporary problem, but someone has said this is because I'm using Pipex.
Are NTL blocking me from making these changes online because I'm not coming from one of their IPs???

Re: Reg server denied my browser?!?
Hi Russ,
Thats more than likely the cause but if you are using a router then this can also cause the same kind of error message?

Re: Reg server denied my browser?!?
OK thanks, I guessed as much.
You think they'd change the above message so it would no longer indicate it was a temporary problem....

Yep The problem can also occur if you are using a specified proxy server (even if it is an ntl one on an ntl connection)
If you want me to change any details for you Russ, PM me the info and i will sort it out if i can.

Re: Reg server denied my browser?!?
I tried to change my account password last week from my work pc and got the same message.
That evening I got home and was sucessful on my home pc, which is networked with two others and an SMC router.
Not sure what that means but hope it sheds some light.
Cheers

Won't that be because from work you were not on an NTL connection?
