It was a total fluke we met, I'd been out drinking and full of dutch courage goaded her into phoning me, we met 2 weeks later and got engaged 8 months after that. We have now been together 20 months and will be getting married in June 2006.

Be yourself and dont look, let it come to you, it'll turn up in the least of expected places.

(side note, still reelling that I bought the wedding rings last week!!!!)

Kronas, this is true (kink is wise), you do have to get out there and meet people. Not everyone will be the right person (some of the women I have met recently have certainly been the wrong person for me), but then you will meet somebody who's right. Even if, long term, she turns out to be the wrong person, you can put it down to experience and try again. You'll meet your long-term partner eventually. Just don't go looking for them.

it amazes me how many people meet their patners off the internet..... but i think nine times out of ten they aren't actually looking for a relationship. go to some chatrooms and chat to people, dont come across as too eager, but it might actually build your confidence talking to someone and seeing they are interested in you, and then use this new confidence in "real" life.
as chi said, you can find love when you least expect it..... don't necessarily go to these things to find love, go to have a chat and a bit of fun and see where it leads, and dont get to heavy too quickly

Kronas, I have a friend who is everything a bloke shouldn't be to attract a women (fat, ugly etc). I don't mean any disrespect to him, actually I am in awe of him. He has had some stunning girlfriends and has absolutely no trouble attracting women. The two things he does have are 1) total confidence in himself, and 2) a slightly rude sense of humour. Another thing I know that he does. He NEVER goes out looking to start a relationship. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, that's good too.

And, kronas, the point of this post is that (going by your photos), he is way worse looking that you. He has no trouble attracting women..
