In that case, none of what my brother told me (when he was in Coventry) made sense! Maybe I am getting old Sorry if I confused anybody.

I got the booklet in Farnborough this morning. I was wondering when it would reach the Guildford area as we're normally lucky enough to get a few things first or the pre-launch trials. I knew there would be a reversal one day!

Re: [Merged] CR3-Feedback & Questions in Here Please.
Now I have time to play with Cr3 a few comments.
The new full guide, I like.
The new "favorites" guide, It would have been more usefull if the listings for that channel were shown as the channel name was highlighted instead of having to keep pressing right, to display listiings, the left to move down the channel list (much like the old browse used to).
The mini guide is missing one important short cut, "First Channel". I used this a lot when using the origanal browse function to see what was coming on next.
Also you can change the time the mini guide is displayed when changing channels, but you cant change the time indpendantly for using the guide.
Idealy it would be nice to have the guide show for say 3 second when changing channel so you at least know what channel you are on while "Channel hopping", but when accessing the mini guide directly, have it displayed until it is closed manually. I cant see a way of doing this at present. You either have to set the time to 30 seconds so the mini guide does not diappear while looking at channels, and also staying on for this time as you change channel, or have the channel listing stay on for only a few seconds as you change channel, but keep closing as you try to use the mini guide. Hope this makes sense.
Other than that, and the fact Cr3 seems slow at the moment, a good improvment over the last release.

Got the upgrade this morning.
Can some one tell me how you get the software revision no up, I know it has already been posted somewhere in this thread, but searching through 471 posts is going to be a pain.

IIRC, if you press "TV" it will bring up the mini guide and stay there until you close it

Whilst watching TV (no miniguide displayed), press PageUp then PageDown then Blue, then select 'more' twice.

Re: [Merged] CR3-Feedback & Questions in Here Please.
Heh!
Sorry for stepping in rather late into this thread but I have a few concerns about this "new" CR3 that is on my digital box
1. Its soo slow! Sometimes it will just lock up for 1 or 2 minutes before it catches up with my key presses...
2. The "guide" never shows my any programs that are on! If I reboot the box it will show me them for about 15 minutes and then when I change channel they go it just says "Please press "guide" to view whats on - instead of just showing me when I press the "TV" button..
What is this? I mean I prefered the old software that was on my box - at least it was quicker... Its locked up double the amount of times the old software locked up..
I find myself watching less and less of TV because of this issue
I have had my STB for over 2 years and its a little old and worn but still!

Re: [Merged] CR3-Feedback & Questions in Here Please.
Dear All
I recieved the update in Hemel Hempstead today, I would like to know if they have made any changes to the code becuase the way I understood it is that my Scart A/V control would be turned off after the upgrade, but after the update this morning it was still set to on.
Regards

Yes it is now fixed. Besides, it didn't affect all users anyway.
