I think you may be over reacting slightly to what appears to be a bit of humour.

Apology accepted. But it implies that all Glaswegians are violent and cannot tolerate other's cultures, beliefs etc. , when it is actually the opposite. You have probably never been to Glasgow, as in my experience, people who make comments such as the one you made are the ones who have never been there. Those who have been, usually come back and say how wonderful the people are, and how brilliant a place Glasgow is. In recent years, I have never met anyone who has had anything negative to say after visiting Glasgow.

Oh please, I started all this off by implying nasty things would happen to me if I toasted St George in a Glasgow bar tonight. Yet I'm in Glasgow, with my Glaswegian wife, visiting my Glaswegian in-laws and looking for a Glaswegian house to buy, as I love this city so much.
There is plenty of English/Scottish banter in our family as you can imagine. My grandparents-in-law are both fervent SNP followers so there's no shortange of live debate either. Yet never have any of us taken it personally. I don't think you were in any way justified in expressing your feelings of offence in such a rude manner and I don't think Stu has anything to apologise for.
BTW, rippedoff, you got banned from this forum. Have you really got nothing better to do than to come back on here with a different username and start abusing people again? You really do need to grow up.

Re: Happy St. George's Day
You know it doesn't make much senseThere ought to be a law against
Anyone who takes offense At a day in his celebration Cause we all know in our minds That there ought to be a time That we can set aside To show just how much we love St. George And I'm sure you would agree It couldn't fit more perfectly
