I did a six month tour in Belize about 11 years ago. Christ, you should see the spiders in the jungle. They spin their webs between plants, along paths in the jungle, and then wait for flying critters to get trapped in the web.

Strange thing is, they always seened to be right at face height to me (5' 8"), and where about 8" across including the legs. Horrible beasties. But thats where a really, really sharp knife comes in to play.

If that "thing" above is anything to go by, a sharp knife will be no help at all. The only thing that will help you if that thing takes a fancy to you is a very good priest.

They eat your face

There venom stop's your nerve's from working.. so you dont feel it, until you check the mirror next morning :O

They got the name Camel Spider though, from the myth about how they cling to the underneath of Camels, and eat there stomachs.. Camel's dont feel it, cos of the venom.. they only find out when there intestines drop out
