New Grey Remote -- available yet?

To cut a long story short, I'd like to buy one of the new-style TV-controlling ex-CWC (grey) remotes.

I know the blue Langley ones have been available for some time, but what about the Bromley ones? If I call up CS, will I definitely get a new one, or are they still sending out the old ones?

(And before anybody else says it, yes I checked eBay, but there don't seem to be any there. Plus I'd rather get one from NTL rather than some con-merchant...)

Thanks!

Re: New Grey Remote -- available yet?

I shall double check my facts tomorrow, Tristan.

Failing that, I have a new remote control and a Samsung box on my desk... which I'm not going to give to you

Some of you may be aware of my on-going saga of Living the the Leiester LE3 area, and not being able to get digital.

Well, I have now moved to Leicester LE2, and yesterday, I Ordered Digital!!!!!!!!

Will I be getting one of the new style remotes, or an old one?

If you are ex CWC, then you may well get one of the new Samsung boxes.

Leiecster is ex Diamond Cable, so is an orig area. You will therefore get a black pace box. As for the remote - doesn't it still depend what the installer has in his van?

Our original NTL box had the remote in the same cardboard box complete with batteries still wrapped in platsic.

They're not packed like that anymore, they're all seperate now. So yes, it will depend on what the installer has in his van, which should be the funny shaped blue remote (shark remote?)

Re: New Grey Remote -- available yet?

Tristan, just say to CS that you want the new remote that has the function to control the TV and you like the idea of it. Thats what I did to make sure I got a new one

Tristan, I had one of our DTV guys confirm this for me yesterday, and you'll receive the 'shark remote' as orangebird has just dubbed it.
