Its all relative. With all respect to those on a fixed/limited income:
600K is 4x faster than 150K for less than the price of a pint a week.

i am on a low fixed income and my 600k is now my friday nights down the pub
still a bit of downgraded canibis and a cup of strong tea feels the same

I use 500k ADSL at work for all my download needs and am quite happy to surf at home at 150k. For general surfing I hardly notice the difference. Most of the time any "lag" in site loading is server side anyway.
