Re: Online gaming issues

I was having very bad ping spikes when I was playing
counter strike on uk2 and all other servers.

The pings were spiking to 2000+ for arround, 3 weeks
then things got sorted.

I play on 2 Digifrag servers with 2 different clans, on both gameplay is friggin awful, and has been for months for most of us ntl dudes. Now the guy who owns digifrag [or digilagg] always blames it on NTL as its never his servers. . Quite a few of us are on ntl, and 2 of us get horrendous bumps right on hop 10.
Now from what i can see its left NTLs network by then?
True or false anyone?

If you're a serious gamer I would get a NIC card put in, and stop using the USB connection. Get a decent NIC like 3com with onboard processor, and it will take the networking work off the cpu.

They're also alot more reliable, and usually faster, and are dirt cheap.

I,d go along with that, I ditched the usb the same day for the same reasons.

Nope - My guess is it is simple over subscribed network in my area (which is not what I would call a fault)

Well - I will ring back, and if they can't give me a date, then I will escalate, and then move to ADSL if I'm not happy
