funny how easy it is to conveniantly ignore the fact the government want to use the act on unconvicted people. Not a single comment in reference to the bit I highlighted.

Err the HRA is supposed to enshrine the ECHR within UK law, these are the fundamental rights of people against the government. The government doesn't 'use' the HRA on anyone, convicted or otherwise, hence the lack of a reference to them doing so.

I meant the terrorist act and other acts sorry.

So basically the government are finding the HRA a barrier to doing things against unconvicted people.

Has this actually happened in the UK?
It wasn't a statement of fact, but what can happen.

Re: Home Secretary: scrap the Human Rights Act

You stated that "What we need to stop is cases along the lines of his.

A guy kills a load of people in cold blood inc. kids
.""

Stopping cases like that usually implies they have happened - if it hasn't happened, we don't need to stop it, do we?

And yet people are calling it to be repealed. Well done people, you are calling for your own rights to be reduced.
