Re: Football : Season 2009/2010
Aghh Arsenal vs Barcelona! Whereas United take on Munich. The winner of that match goes and plays the winner of Lyon vs Bordeaux. United have a relatively easy route to the final. Arsenal would need to beat Barcelona AND (presumably) Inter Milan.

We've only got it easy if Rooney's fit.

Oh well. If Arsenal win the Champions League they are going to have to work for it.

Don't say I didn't tell you.
Good draw that, should produce some really good football. Hopefully Arsenal can match up to Barcelona, although I'd have preferred that they had the 2nd leg at home, not away. Bayern-United looks like a cracker - 11 year revenge anybody?

Yeah people are talking up Munich for some reason, as they did with AC Milian. I think the press like underestimating United's chances so they can write a 'what a result!' story. They like a underdog after all. United should find both games quite comfortable. They they face one of the French teams, it will be a major upset if they don't reach the final.

Re: Football : Season 2009/2010
That was pretty much the exact draw i was hoping for. No games are easy at this stage of the competition, but i'm glad we've avoided Barca and Inter. Good to have the first leg away against Bayern as well.

Are we going to be hearing some conspiracy theory of Utd fixing the draw?

No. But it is an (relatively) easy draw. That's the way it goes.

This Rooney hype is getting stupid and no doubt powered in part by the fact it's a world cup year. He is a great player and in-form but United are not a one man team, and he is not alone the reason they are in the title race. Stupid press hype. It's rubbish.
Look at the Fulham game, He gets on the end of the goals. However Nani and Donkey were far more influential on the overall game. Excellent passing, Excellent Playmaking, yet Rooney is the one who gets all the credit the next day.

It could easily have been your draw, but it wasn't, so no use contemplating over things that aren't to be.

I am just commenting it's a handy draw for United. I can contemplate over that if I want. I certainly would have taken it!

Why the confused smiley? I meant what is done is done and nothing can change it.
I am trying to head off the usual moans about how utd alsays get it easy and it's fixed somehow.
