Exclamation Alexa & Other bits of Spyware

Just scanned using Ad Aware SE Persona Edition and it detected Alexa on my system, i was wondering how else i could protect myself. I have already got spywareblaster and Spybot upto date.

Also it seems to sometimes detect a piece of spyware called Softmat or something similar.

Re: Alexa & Other bits of Spyware

You could get Spywareguard from the same people as Spywareblaster.

It's just a bit extra protection.

Also, with Spybot, have you got the teatimer activated?

Agreed. The famous Spybot S&D and Ad Aware are dead in their tracks while MS Antispyware is on the scene.

I've ran all three in the last 24 hrs, updated SpywareBlaster and SpywareGuard as well. Nowt wrong with using a few!

Re: Alexa & Other bits of Spyware

if its not setup up to run at startup then go to options - settings - realtime protection, then tick the 'startup options' box.
