Yes,
But Hugh is so desperate to correct me, he failed to read my first post correctly, and continued accordingly.

Apologies - it’s all the blonde beer and red wine I’ve been drinking in Paris.
Well done on stringing me along…

Hope you’re having a nice time, haven’t been to Paris in a decade, but I’ve always enjoyed it.
Is Notra D’ame reopen yet!

Yes, it is…
Today was a quiet day, as we were watching my son-in-law run in the Paris Marathon.

Re: Plausibility of a villain's scheme
Getting back on topic after 1+ year...
Moonraker - oh, dear. Gaping plot holes. Radar jamming aside, couldn't anyone see a 200-metre space station in orbit?!
And Jaws' girlfriend? Hello, someone so short, with glasses and (before the alteration) braces, getting through a eugenics program? Too absurd to be funny. The whole (dubious, flawed) premise of eugenics is to eliminate such flaws. But there have to be imperfections - where would Helen Keller or Stephen Hawking be if we practised eugenics?
Live And Let Die - unfortunately this would work. Truly recreational users would love the notion of free drugs, but addicts would go overboard - and people just curious about drugs would, too, given human nature. Kids would experiment...and become addicts as a result. Kananga knew people too well.
Master of Puppets, I'm pulling your strings
Twisting your mind and smashing your dreams
Blinded by me, you can't see a thing
Just call my name and I'll hear you scream
Master!
Master!
- Metallica, Master Of Puppets, a track I still like even at age 60!
Thunderball - I refuse to believe an organisation such as SPECTRE couldn't just build a nuke. With their money, influence, corrupt people in the right places, resources for scientific needs? Please, it'd be relatively simple to obtain weapons-grade fissile material, and once you've got it, building a nuke with the right expertise - which SPECTRE surely could manage - wouldn't be that hard.

Jaws girlfriend wasn't parr of the eugenics programme, she pulled him out of the cable car and hung around, she's the reason Jaws turned because Dax or whatever his name was would've killed her

Re: Plausibility of a villain's scheme
I think we maybe shouldn’t read too much into Bond plots in general, and Moonraker in particular, which was rushed into production because they were terrified Star Wars was about to make Bond look old fashioned and irrelevant. Nobody stopped to think for very long about how (or if) the story held together. The film borrowed the name of a rocket, the name of the villain, and a scene in which Bond escapes from beneath the rocket just before it launches, and basically nothing else.
