Does the Hub5 update it self while in bridge mode? ?

Good morning all ,
I have been using Unifi network devices with my Virgin hub 5 for nearly a year now and mostly it been fine but every now again ( quite a bit of late ) im having an issue where my Unifi UDR7 is displaying "no internet" on the front display of the device.

iv been asking on the Unifi forums and no one really know why this happening , I can see my internet and the connection to the Hub5 from the UDR7's UI and the connection is rock solid , no drops out , a bit of high latency but nothing that should be causing my issue .

So iv been thinking is the hub at fault ! say is it trying to update ,so im asking here will the hub 5 update itself while in bridge mode ? im wondering if the hub is trying to update and this is causing the UDR7 to think there is no internet 🤔

Thanks
Andy

Modem mode disabled the LAN but the WAN interface and modem functionality remain. So, the hub still gets its updates via the CMTS (usually overnight).

I think "no internet" would only be due to VM if the hub were rebooting due to an update in progress. But what's happening here is the UDR7 falsely reporting a problem when doing a WAN connection check.
