Superhub2 losing 2ghz

Would anyone be able to help im currently having problems with my superhub2 it constantly loses the 2gh connection which is a pain as my children's pc plus tablets and my older firestick only have the option for this setting. I'm really trying not to have to phone virgin as it takes a day and age to get through and get things sorted. Any help is appreciated. Ps I have tried the reset

Signals from other routers in the area could be interfering with yours, this is a known problem on the 2.4ghz band.
Search for the inSSIDer program, run it so you can see which channels are unused and then set your router to use that.

That would be great if there were no other unused channels however nowadays that would be a rarity due to the sheer number of wireless connections and the 2.4GHz band being used by most.

Certainly try a channel with the least number of overlapping channels at or about the same strength.

I should have said less busy, there aren't many Wi-Fi connections where I am.

Just to clarify, is it ONLY things connecting via 2.4Ghz that are dropping, or are you seeing issues with 5Ghz and wired devices?

Diagnosing wireless issues is a nightmare, so I just want to be sure it's definitely definitely a wireless problem and not a connection problem.
