If you feel you have been made fun of then accept my apologies.

I understand my sense of humour does not appeal to everyone.

VM stated in another secret squirrel forum that VIVID 200 (and VIVID150) can't be provisioned on SH1 (no configuration files presumably) but all 3 later/newer Hubs were ok (as I have all 4!) for upto and including Vivid200.

That seemed a tad strange as some SH1 uses already had the legacy 152 Tier configuration file but presumably now part of VM strategy to wean those specific users off the miserable SH1's in a controlled fashion?

I placed an order for the upgrade and it specifically said Superhub 2 AC in the work order.

Thanks for that, no model number for the specific Superhub is displayed within my Work Order - Will just need to wait and see.

Might be another Superhub1 :P

I tried Live Chat a week or so ago. They said they were unable to access my account details, so they don't conduct upgrades.

Just rang CS and got upgraded to 200Mb immediately. Getting 207Mb.

Re: 200 Meg broadband advice.

Hi, I have just been upgraded from 152gb to 200gb, so I ajready have a superhub2 router. My speed still remains as it was before upgrade and rebooting the router makes no difference.
Does anyone know if I have to contact Virgin for them to send an upgrade signal down my line to speed up this upgrade?

Re: 200 Meg broadband advice.

for starters you have been upgraded to 200mbits and not gigabits :p You always have to wait a few hours - a day for the upgrade to come through and you will be able to see it by looking at your config. If you are using the shub in router modem go to http://192.168.0.1 and click on router status top right, then operation config and look for the downstream info. The screen dump below shows the config for 152mbits and the 200mbit config will be something like 220,000,000 I think:

Re: 200 Meg broadband advice.

Ii have checked my router config, as instructed, and according to figures I am on 200mb, but I am still showing about 50 mb. So it looks like a call to customer services.

Can we assume that you are connected by wire to your router, that you have a network card capable of taking over 100Mb and that your processor is capable of handling speedtest technologies like Flash?

Re: 200 Meg broadband advice.

roughbeast makes a good point. Can you clarify what type of machine you are running the test on (pc/laptop/phone/console) and whether it is wired or wireless.
