Re: Superhub 2
The high downstream power is explained by your cab being close. Is your incoming cable shared with the downstairs maisonette?

Nope looks like we have one each although only the 1 wire coming from the one on the left seems to go up to ours, and the other black wire from that box goes to the left, so maybe we do share?
Hopefully you can tell from that pic

Re: Superhub 2
It looks to me like the incoming RG6 cable (the thick one) goes to one Omnibox and is then cascaded to the other.
From a power perspective, that doesn't matter because you are close to the cabinet. If you are on the incoming Omnibox, then c. 4 dB is knocked off your power and the same again after your inside splitter. If you're on the cascaded Omnibox, add a further 4 dB.
But noise is another matter. If degradation of the splitter has occurred in either or both Omniboxes, then you could have problems that could well follow weather patterns or temperature.
I don't necessarily want to send you down this route, but when I had non-obvious problems, they sent a Senior Tech who checked out all the external wiring, the Omnibox, the splitters - renewing much of it.

Re: Superhub 2
Thanks for the info Seph, if the tech who comes tomorrow seems forthcoming with info I might ask him about it, which one we're connected to and how it's wired up, I get the feeling he'll probably just replace the SH2 and leave it at that if the stats look alright.
Had to reboot again last night, and again this morning, seems to be locking up more often now.

Really? I'm obviously looking at a different picture then - 2 Siamese cables approaching from left of picture that presumably run down adjoining wall (out-of-site) to street drop.
Omnibox nearest boundary wall has one feed, the other omnibox has the other siames feed and output dissappears to right of picture heading upwards presumably external to upper maisonette?

What a waste of time and money, the cable could have just been split

Re: Superhub 2
Tech attended this morning, said stats are fine and swapped the SH2 out no questions asked, as soon as i said what was happening he agreed it was likely the hub.
Time will tell if the locking up issue is sorted

Re: Superhub 2
Just to add, the guy who came this morning confirmed that my power levels are so high because i'm so close to the cab (as Seph said), he also said the rest of my stats were perfect, he didn't comment on how the cable was wired into the house as was mention above though.

I hinted about how I noticed there was 2 boxes on the wall outside, each going to a separate property and his response was "Yeah there is"
Tried to ask him some other things but he didn't seem interested so I just left him to it, the SH2 is still working as it should so far so i'm happy enough
