Re: superhub 2
I think the cost of the SHUB2 is simply to stop every customer calling in and demanding them. They did the same with the SHUB1. Eventually, when they run out of stock, it'll be a free upgrade.

The SH2 has the same install fee for everyone.
Any free installs given will be separate to what tier of broadband they are on

By "free" I mean you won't have to pay extra to get a SH2 if your SH1 is being replaced. However, it'll take time to run out of stock.

So if we wait long enough we can opt in and get one without the install fee?

Re: superhub 2
A helpful, well produced, non-stuttering (some say non-buffered, but of course it's buffered) video.

Somewhat a contentious point - but some on 30mb also got it "free"!

Re: superhub 2
Surely if you are on Premiere collection or higher you should be entitled to the new Superhub. Logic says that if you are paying for a service and equipment
then you should be provided with the equipment as advertised for that service,
or a reduction in your bill until you are.

Everyone is keeping quiet about this so I don't know if it has already been covered earlier in the thread (haven't read) but why is there an installation charge anyway. Things like this are an absolute joke and analagous to me charging you a breathing fee. There is no installation, you post the shub2's to customers and they hook them up just like they have been doing with the shub1's for the last couple of years. It pee'd me off when I upgraded to 50mbit and I had to pay a £50 installation charge and a £30 activation fee when all the tech did is bring the vmng300 to my house, I hooked it up and he made a phone call to register the mac address. It was an absolute joke. Luckily I got away with it for 100mbit because they had an offer on at the time (and I didn't want the shub anyways).
