Re: problems since the new firmware release - only today

I'm in leeds had problems I'm using the SH with Asus RT-N56U modem so its down to VM.

Although it could be down to the fact 150,000 kids came back from party in the park and probably bogged the net down talking to their mates about it lol

I have checked your connection and the downstream power level is unacceptably high. We will need to arrange an engineer visit to adjust the power levels.
What a load of rubbish. Your downstream power is below average but still well within normal range.

What you have is a repeat of the major routing fault we had last night.

I checked think broadband last night I showed that I had an outage around 4am that morning obviously must have fixed itself.

Re: problems since the new firmware release - only today

Just got of the phone with an Virgn had to cancel an engineer for tomorrow as im at work. But stop me before I did saying are you sure you want to cancel ( I still had to) your downstream power level - 8.1 dbmv. I have no clue what this really means.

As I can see from the Broadband Quality Monitor graph from ThinkBroadband, I did notice others with this issue around 4 am and 6pm. I don't know if that is linked to my downstream power level as it was working fine before. It's been fine for the past 24 hours bar getting kicked of Xbox for 1 minute but got back on the xbox fine. My son is much at this then I am, we are on 20mb with an old Virgin router connecting to a D Link. I don't really know what I should do now any ideas?.

No the problem around 4 & 6 am has nothing to do with your power levels
Seems was problem with VM network

Having lower power levels may occur quality issues with your connection
-8db is low but i had -12 with out issues for the broadband but some TV channels was cracking & some can not been seen, as an example

I suggest to book the appointment with the engineer ...is free, no charge for it

Re: problems since the new firmware release - only today

Since getting R36, the superhub keeps dropping the entire wired LAN about once every 5 minutes, continuously. Wifi is unaffected, and the superhub itself seems functional.

But all of my wired devices loose connectivity, for about 10 seconds every 5 minutes. It might not sound very much, but its incredibly annoying.
