Re: Tried and tested video senders compatable with V+?
The video scart (no menus) remains active when using HDMI but the TV scart is disabled
You currently don't have to remove the hdmi cable to switch to scart -but i have heard that the new firmware update includes automatic hdmi selection when cable is present - which suggests you will have to remove the cable to switch to scart

Re: Tried and tested video senders compatable with V+?
Thanks for the info.
Our V+ is only a week old so it is possible that the auto switching is already implemented. I will try it all on Wednesday (when the new telly comes). At least now I know what to look for.
Cheers
John

Re: Tried and tested video senders compatable with V+?
Sorry for bumping old thread but, looking to buy a sender this weekend, would like to be able to change channels from 2nd room. Any recommendations?

Bumping again to see if anybody has an update on this. I have search through some older posts and a couple mention an Argos product (5344273) but doesn't exist anymore.
Anybody recommend anything ?

If you have wireless G internet at 2.4GHz, try and avoid a 2.4GHz sender. I have a 2.4GHz sender and sometimes the distortion/interference can be pretty bad.

Could give these a go, although the latter has rather mixed reviews

Thanks.
For the record I got this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Emprex-AWV-6...dp_ob_title_ce
....and it works perfectly, no bad considering I've a got a wireless doorbell, wireless phone AND wireless network.
No menus via the VCR out on the V+ but I can live with that since this will be for occasional use and the V+ itself is in the next room.

Re: Tried and tested video senders compatable with V+?
Have just got a cheap one from Argos. Gives problems with b.b but they can be overcome if only with a sticky plaster type answer. Any one know were the remote eye is on V+(s/a) it seems I need to place a sensor near it to get the remote to work! Thanks

Hi. Looking for a video sender for either a V box or V+ box (pref the V box option)
Not to bothered about the menus. If i hooked it up to the V+ would i still be able to watch things from the hardrive if set up on main tv and watched on secondary tv?
Any current recommendations for the sender?
Cheers
