2.5" sata drive > dtop?

Just wanted to check are the the 2.5" drives fully compatable with desktops?

the connectors look the same as a 3.5" sata drive but i didn't want to try plugging it in just in case it was a different voltage or something.

Probably won't plug it in anyway might just get another USB caddy for it, either way if i remember i need something off it in the meantime i wandered if i could just plug it directly into the desktop. (its the orginal drive out of my macbook)

from what i remember
mac uses a differant file system then windows

so dont think windows can read the files off it

If i needed to read the mac partiton theres software about that can read it

Although theres also an NTFS paritition on that disc as well as an MBR copy of the partition table thanks to bootcamp
