Do you get any slowdowns during the day?
On 2Mbit Zen ADSL, I haven't had a loss of sync in the 12months that I've had it, pings to
www.bbc.co.uk range from 24 to 32ms throughout the day and I always am able to max out my connection (240KB/s). I'm sure I'd get a similar service at 5-8Mbit. There's no queue on the tech support line and the guys know what they're doing. I've been working in network/server management with Linux/BSD for about 6yrs, so it takes a lot for a tech support line to impress me.
Is BY that reliable? If I got a 10Mbit line, would I be likely to actually get 10Mbit? How much would it vary at peak times? Do you have latency problems at certain times?
Thanks,
Adam
