One of my favourite actors. Only a few days ago I was thinking how old and frail he looked.
Watched a film called 'Jackie' the other night (about Jackie Kennedy's life right after the assassination of JFK ) he plays a priest in it.
Sad news and we're still only in January.

Sir John grew up in Blundell Avenue, Cleethorpes, and spent many an afternoon watching Grimsby Town play. He was also a regular at the outdoor swimming pool in the resort.
