Question Samsung V+ HD Faulty

Hi,
My Samsung V+ HD box has gone faulty, they are sending me a replacement box out in the next couple of days anyone know if this will be the same box or if they will send something else? will I still be able to record on it?

Cheers

It will be the same model box, and you will be able to record.

Just out of interest, what's wrong with your currrent one?

You'd think that it would now be easier for VM to start swapping faulty V+ boxes with a TiVo, seeing as they are now starting to do this with non faulty V+'s.

No, that's definitely harder.

Only Scientific-Atlanta V+'s are being withdrawn.

I had the same issue. Replaced it with another V+box as after an outage, all it would show was "stop" on the display, even after a reboot it would continue to show the same error message.

One tip, call them up once its up & running as no where does it tell you that the smart card has to be paired with the box, i spent an hour trying to get it on line until i called them. The instructions do no say that or perhaps i was unlucky

regards

It's saying Stop most of the time and If you try to reboot it goes to LD:01 then back to stop after a while

Must try getting a better contract too as I seem to be paying more than new customers "after 1/2 price deal" for the same or less service will wait until the new box arrives first
