Virgin Media no longer sell ultrafast

Ofcom just redefined ultrafast for the purposes of their reporting as 300Mb+.

For this report, we have defined ultrafast services as those delivering a download speed of 300Mbit/s or more. We will continue to monitor the coverage of these faster services and may, if appropriate, refine our definition as the market evolves.

Did VM ever sell Ultrafast? I thought the previously defined term was "next-gen" or "Superfast" at ~24-30Mbps+ depending on who you asked.

Incidentally the U.S. doesn't define anything below 30Mbps as broadband at all.

I'd guess the definition of "ultrafast" being 300 or more got worked up in the days where 300 or more was an indicator of pure FTTP services. So it could be just as awkward once VM release 300Mb and un-doing that distinction again.

Ultrafast was traditionally >= 100Mb
