There is neigh justice anymore

A 41-year-old man is to stand trial after being arrested for feeding sausage rolls to police horses.
Francis Kelly faces a breach of the peace charge over allegedly feeding the animals pastries in Pollokshaws Road, Glasgow, on 26 September this year.

As usual the real story isn't reported but still if it was a Greggs sausage roll he's lucky he's not being done for animal cruelty!

I thought they were part of the Scottish staple diet going by the size of the queues I saw in Edinburgh and Glasgow a few weeks back, we do not have people queuing in English Greggs as madly as up there.

The rather less sexy details are a couple of paragraphs into the story:
Quote:
The charge alleges he behaved in a "threatening or abusive manner" and "adopted an aggressive stance" towards officers when told to put food away.
|
It seems that what he's actually in the dock for is a spectacular failure of the attitude test when asked to put the sausage rolls away. That doesn't make such a good story as "Man prosecuted for being kind to cute animals" though. Good old BBC, still ensuring the facts don't get in the way of a good story.

At least this one was not as bad as them accusing a Senior Tory of being a pedophile

Yeah,I thought that was the reason but I reckoned you may know something more. Of course the cops were totally right to tell him to stop since it could be some looney feeding the horses poison or whatever.

If its tasty then battering and deep frying it makes it tastier. That's not up for discussion.

Re: There is neigh justice anymore
It was an expensive roll for him.
http://m.local.stv.tv/glasgow/news/2...-police-horse/
Quote:
A man has been found guilty of breaching the peace by trying to feed a ham roll to a police horse.
His lawyer, Martin Lavery, said that Mr Kelly was currently in prison serving an eight month sentence for driving without a licence.
|
8 months for driving without a license? Doubt it. Driving whilst disqualified maybe but its doubtful anyone gets jailed for a simple no license offence.
