I am looking for a new heatsink which is silent, its needs to be AM2 and also needs to fit on to a plastic plate which has screws in each corner as thats the only way I can get it on the processor.

Can someone help me, money not really that important would like not too spend loads.

regards

BB

the F7 is loads cheaper and more than capable of cooling a stock cpu as well as an overclocked one

Can I ask why you cannot take the backplate off? Also the freezer 7 pro is very good value for money.

in their wisdom some 3rd part cooler manufacturers temp you to use the adhesive pad to adhere itself to the mobo. Admittingly it can make cooler fitting easier if it cant move but it can become bonded lol. Ive fell foul of this once never again lol

Re: AM2 Heatsink

You won't be disappointed with the Freezer 7, it's a nice bit of kit although rather LARGE.

Also, watch your knuckles when you're fitting it, those fin edges are a bit sharp.
