the F7 is loads cheaper and more than capable of cooling a stock cpu as well as an overclocked one

Can I ask why you cannot take the backplate off? Also the freezer 7 pro is very good value for money.

this cooler ( and the original skt 775 freezer 7 pro and the Am socket freezer 64 the rev 2 does both + both the i sockets) has always performed well above its price

in their wisdom some 3rd part cooler manufacturers temp you to use the adhesive pad to adhere itself to the mobo. Admittingly it can make cooler fitting easier if it cant move but it can become bonded lol. Ive fell foul of this once never again lol

You won't be disappointed with the Freezer 7, it's a nice bit of kit although rather LARGE.

Also, watch your knuckles when you're fitting it, those fin edges are a bit sharp.
