Go into your modem config http://192.168.100.1 user/pass are both root and post your up/down power levels, SNR and also your operational config (might be on the same pages or might be on it's own page depending on the modem)

Re: Only got 10 mb speed

OK, that confirms you are on 20Mb, so it's gotta be another issue.. One of the techies will probably be round soon and confirm your up/down/snr levels.. In the mean time how do you connect through the modem (router, usb, ethernet. wifi...) and are the 10Mb speeds consistant or do they go up/down?

Are you connected directly to the modem or via a router, either wired or wirelessly?

If you have a router, are there other users downloading at the same time you are measuring your speed?

How are you measuring your speed?

This information is required if you wish anyone to help.

Re: Only got 10 mb speed

i am also having this problem my downstream and upstream snr are about the same as yours +/- 1 . Whenever downloading, things seem to max out at around 800-900kbps and not nearer the 2000kbps i used to get.

Then it may also be helpful if you also answer Robbo's question. Any questions may seem pointless to you but in the main assist in diagnosis of the problem any maybe a possible solution without having to involve your ringing that most helpful and knowledgeable help desk in our ex-empiric nation.
