Re: Vbox is stuck on standby

Check all the cables are connected properly, especially the actual cable line (the one that needs screwing in). Is the card inserted properly? If not, take it out, give it a wipe, quickly blow in the card slot to dislodge anything that shouldn't be there, and re-insert. You've switched it off, waited a minute, then switched it on at the mains, I take it?

Re: Vbox is stuck on standby

The obligatory "have you tried turning it off and on again" at the wall method might work. At a push, leave it for 10 minutes, and if that doesn't solve it, a new box might be in order.

Can you see anything on the TV screen, as when I did it I had to set a couple things up like PIN and screen settings.

Re: Vbox is stuck on standby

Yep, sounds like the box is, to coin a phrase, a bit f**ked!

4:3 is the default setting for the box, but ring tech support in the morning and ask for a replacement box, but only if what they take you through doesn't work. If 1st line (the people who answer the phone) can't help, ask for 2nd line Technical Support.

Re: Vbox is stuck on standby

Good to know!

Channel listings for each package are located on Virgin Media's site. http://allyours.virginmedia.com/html...nels_full.html

The free ones without the card I can't remember!
