Using mobile in Northern Ireland

I'm currently in Belfast but unable to use my Virgin mobile. Does Virgin have mobile coverage in Northern Ireland? If so, any ideas why I can't get a signal?

Thanks

Yes VM should have coverage, as they use the Everything Everywhere network. Only reason it wouldn't work is if neither Orange or T-Mobile cover where you are.

Just a question, does your phone roam onto 'virgin' when you are in mainland UK?

Thanks for the info Ben. I'm not sure if the phone roams onto Virgin or not on the mainland. There is T-Mobile coverage here but no Orange. I'll toy with the settings a bit more.

Re: Using mobile in Northern Ireland

I visited the Virgin store in Belfast city centre. A very helpful chap tried to help but the roam facility wouldn't work. He let me use the store phone to call Virgin directly, who sorted the problem within 2 minutes.

Got to applaud the excellent customer service I received today. Well done Virgin Belfast

Just that something hadn't been activated on the phone, which had to be activated directly by Virgin. I was told in future I should not have the same problem.
