Re: Phone off again

email today from the brains trust said try using a corded phone as they have tested my line and not noticed any faults, really!!!!! well I feel so much better now hearing that but why when I call my CORDED phone from my mobile doesn't it ring? Listen I know there are alot of dunderheids out there who call in a fault before realising the phone isn't connected but after 17 years of having cable ,faithfully paying my bills without being a timewaster I would have thought virgin would have realised by now that I am not a DUNDERHEID !!!!

Re: Phone off again

Well did you tell them you had tried multiple phones (to rule out a handset fault) or are they supposed to guess?

Forget email, use newsgroup support.

Raise the issue in virginmedia.support.telephony using your email alias - the part before the @ symbol in your blueyonder or ntl email address. Support will post back within the thread and arrange an engineer visit for you.

If you do not currently use newsgroups there is a guide to setting up here:

You will get a faster response than by email and it is far easier than phoning and speaking to someone abroad. The newsgroup support is excellent.

Was it virgin mobile? If so, the same thing happened to me, I complained via email through my account and they refunded the difference.
