Big one for CF.
Came home after 2 months away working. Old Tv was giving trouble and the NTL box was locking up on an hourly basis.
Had a look at old posts on the site and had a quick discusion (Wednesday Morning) with the lady at NTL (only waited 30 seconds to be connected!) She promised me an engineer on Friday morning between 8.00 and midday.
New 50" Panasonic arrived on the promised delivery time of Wednesday morning and was up and running in a couple of hours. We spent Thurday repeatedly re-booting the box. Then we see RB prancing all over the screen! "O B***er " I thought.
Today (Friday) dawned and at 10.15 the phone rang. It was the NTL guy saying he would be with me in 10 minutes. He was and 20 minutes later I had a new box, a new card and an antenuater (scuse spelling!) to stop the problem re-occuring! I must also say he looked very smart in his new Virgin stuff though he did tell my wife the trousers were like carboard!
