Analogue pass through is it on all stbs ?

I've had my ntl digi box for about 5 years and it's finally given up the ghost, so I have an engineer coming around tommorow to replace it

My current box gives you the ability to tune in channels 1-5 on the tv as wellas the cable channel and I use this to supply the rest of the tv's in the house with the terestrial channels, question is do all the new stb's have this feature I'm sure a friend of mine has one which doesn't do this ? .

Any advice would be good as our old aerial was removed so if nothing can be done it'll be new aerial time

it depends where you live, and what the engineer has in the van.

you will have to make sure you talk to him about it before he swaps your box
