Re: Unable to access website

It's up for me as well Alan.

---------- Post added at 13:02 ---------- Previous post was at 12:36 ----------

add/ just started doing trace routes so I tried it on calenderclub and it timed out for me as well even though I revisited the site whilst the trace was repeatedly repeating 'request timed out'

Sorry to go off topic but if anyone can give a quick explanation why this would happen I would be very grateful.

Have you tried turning it off and back on again?

Re: Unable to access website

http500 error means theres a problem with the sites scripts. Probably php/asp/coldfusion.

Its not a network problem, its a "they dun messed up their code" problem.

It's quite common that ICMP is disabled on websites so you don't get a reply on the traceroute nor pings.

Re: Unable to access website

As noted earlier, the http 500 error is an error on the server. The very fact that you see the server giving you a 500 shows that your connection to the server is fine.

Standard traceroutes use icmp packets to do it's stuff and some routers block these type of packets, causing the timeouts.

Re: Unable to access website

Clear your browsers cache. Something is being sent to the server from you pc to cause the 500 error. Also try another browser. It also might be a cookie issue so find the cookie for the site and delete it.

Re: Unable to access website

Clear cookies and cache for the site and try again. I had this issue once on another site and doing that fixed it.
