TP Link Powerline Adaptors connecting a router in each room

Hi all

Having suffered with bad wifi in my house I have purchased some TP Link power adaptor (TL-PA451KIT) which enables the Internet to be transferred via the power sockets in the house....to connect TV PC etc.

Is it possible to simple plug another router in one of the adaptors in another room where I need wifi or do they not work that way ?

Would appreciate any advice ...

Homeplugs rarely go over 50meg. I don't recommend them at all

Well depends if the alternative is no connection at all.

I'll happily take 50meg over 0meg.

Thanks for the reply..............is it an easy set up as just tried it....Have power / Wifi network / Even the internet light on the router is on....but I can not connect !

Any idea what I am missing ! ! !

Did a reset to try and 'help' and all I have now is a wifi network called 'Dlink'

Really struggling so any advice would be great.

The best option is to turn off all internetting features on the second router and configure it as a dumb AP.

The easiest option is just the reset mentioned above and connecting the WAN port on the router to your homeplugs.

Your second router will need it's gateway set as the IP address of your main internet connected router. So manually setup all the IP settings on the second router.
