Just wondering how many users here get zero jitter at peak times?

I would say that you're probably wasting your time asking about zero jitter on VM. It's not going to be the most common thing though I'm sure the usual suspects will be doing their utmost to try and get a zero jitter test done, even if it takes 10 or more attempts.

Not surprised you've low jitter Chris, after your history with VM they probably gave you your own node

Saying that I did have very low jitter myself at one point, I was on an upstream with only 13 other modems. Sometimes thanks to geography and other reasons people can be sharing bandwidth with very few other people as you evidently are.

It's to be enjoyed, as I noted on my first post it's pretty rare on VM due both to their subscribing guidelines and the nature of the technology.

FTTN, not C, in the case of VM though this is another thread in itself.

The ASA and Ofcom allow them to call it fibre optic which is the main thing, as it makes the UK's broadband situation seem better than it is. This may change in the future as genuine fibre optic services become more commonplace. A cable operator in the USA for example claimed their service was fibre optic and were told to stop advertising as such after Verizon, who run the fibre to the home FiOS service, complained.

Please explain how your kettle is ever, even remotely fiberoptic? Its purely electric and you can't send electric over fiberoptic?

There's a fibre connection to ethernet switch next to the machine controlling the electric distribution board.

Or in other words the kettle is connected to something that is connected to something else that is connected to a fibre. So it's as much fibre as your VM connection is connected to something that is connected to something else that is connected to a fibre.
