Virgin Have Messed Up My Install

Just had Virgin installed today and have only just noticed now that they have put me on the BBL service and I had picked the BBXL. I am being billed for the correct amount for BBL but this is not the service I picked when I ordered online.
What can I do? Do I have to pay an upgrade fee to get the BBXL now?

simple as ringing up and ask to upgrade your broadband, explain to them they messed it up, (might get you a bit of discount) and it should be on XL within 10mins to a few hours/tomorrow.

And quick too, The info says the upgrade can take upto 48 hours. It actually only took the time for the modem to reboot. Very happy VM customer here

lol, that's the main reason I wasn't happy with the 10mb. STM limits are way too low for me.

You do not get STMed if you stay outside the time restrictions.

Re: Virgin Have Messed Up My Install

You don't get STM'd if you don't use your connection also...

If you need to download large files then start it when you go to bed and let it do it overnight.

Not everyone wants the inconvenience of having their machine use more power, distrupt sleep and whatnot just to grab some files they should be able to grab in the day.

It might surprise you, but I've gotten so used to my laptop being on with fan full-blast that I almost can't sleep without it! It's weird when I don't download stuff overnight.

Re: Virgin Have Messed Up My Install

I had that for many years on a 0.8mbit adsl line before I moved to uni, these days I always turn it off (which helps with the electricity bill, too ;P)
