I for one am glad that this kind of research again has a green light.

I'm with you on this one. there is so much scope for some amazing developements thanks to this kind of research. though it's funny how some people go on about animal testing, so we test on 'humans' (or at least, their cells), but that's no good either!

Though this is really a public message that what is "currently" the goal is proof of concept and not any actual experimentation.

This will have to be the next step in the process, else what is the point of the research?
