Tv package Size M
Hi everyone,
I've been with NTL for years now and have always had 2Mb broadband and a telephone landline with them.
Now that they have become Virgin Media I checked out the site and realise that I am currently on the Size M package and have noticed that you get free TV as well.
I have never had any TV services as I've always found I couldnt afford it on top of my bills.
Now that it is free, I have a few questions that I'm sure someone here will be able to answer for me. Many thanks in advance.
1) Is this applicable to all or new customers only ?
2) If I can have this, do they just put a cable going from the white box in my house where currently the cable goes to the back of my modem.
3) Is this likely to be a marketing scheme where it is free and in 6 months I'll have to pay for it.
Thanks for your help.
halcyon.

You can do the 3 for £30 offer though. With that you get TV large. I am now paying only £1 more than I was when I just had phone+BB.

But it's always worth asking CS/Retentions if there is anything they can do.
For the retentions number phone 150 from home or there is an 0800 number floating around somewhere on the forums.
I got my V+ and install for free (well it was a price reduction actually!)
Got to be worth a quick phone call. Please remember to be courteous at all times too. They are human too. (I Think!)

Incorrect, both new and existing can have it. There is a £25 install fee for TV size:M

Not the correct dept to ring if a customer wants to add on a service, the correct dept is TeleSales. Customer relations would simply pass the call through to us in sales.

Ah right, Well I guess a phone call to them is probably best then to see what they can do for me.
Thanks.

All customers have been able to change on to that since its launch, the only exception is a digital migration in which case an existing customer must go on to a chargeable package, L or XL for 3 months before they can downgrade to free tv (size:m)

Hi shaun,
I have been waiting for a reply to an email which I sent to VM last week.
Have you any idea when I can expect to get a some kind of contact from them?
I sent a reminder this evening
The reason for the email was to explain my situation.
I am not getting the level of broadband that I should be, I'm getting M it should L, I spoke to three cs guys about this with no joy ,so I then asked if there was any thing in the way of special offers/deals that they could offer to me, they all said there are no deals or offers for anyone, which I know to be wrong, they were of no help at all, not helpful in any way, the last guy had a very bad attitude, hence the email to Virgin.
I'm on phone, talk evening & weekends, B B, M, Tv L. for £34 ex ntl.
On this and many other forums, customers are posting details of much better deals than I have.
As a cable customer since 1991, I feel the least I am entitled to is to get a respectful honest response from the cs workers.
I am always very polite to whoever I speak to.
Thanks.Gary

Thanks. It will probably be for later in the month as I am still having to check with another house mate who will be moving in to see what we all want to do.
Thanks for offering to help though.
