256 K Broadband

5 days with a 256k broadband (instead of 2MB).
And an answer message telling me it's only time to time.
Why 5 days (maybe more) and lies?

I'm used to have trouble once a week with the speed, this one is too much.
I wanted to upgrade my speed but no way, I have to go BT to get a reliable line.

I prefer to not speak about the TV, they come they move and 2 days after same trouble....
I bought a satellite kit.

Client is the king... of money, nothing else.

Copy of this message on other fora, to tell people how much good is the service with Telewest.

How people working for that company is proud of what they do?
I will never be able to offer crap to people, simple question of dignity, somewhere...
In a way it's stealing money to make "decent" wages for slaves?
Tell me?
Or is it a racket? Simple abuse?
Easy to ignore reality for a few clients...

And don't tell me you are surprised... Stop lying.

I have moved you to the best upstream which should make your connection
faster.
Thank you for getting back to me. The reason you are having the problems
is due to outage on the UBR that you are connected to. Outages are only
listed on the status page when they affect a large amount of customers.

We are aware of this problem and our engineers are working towards a
resolution.
That's all in SIX days!
And no way to have a BT line before new year, I'm stuck with no internet until January.

Download Speed: 597 kbps (74.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 119 kbps (14.9 KB/sec transfer rate)

MAx speed in six days, and no mail DL in the same time I surf.

OK
nice to have beeen here...

Seven days and still nothing done.
Telewest is a company of cons.
The client should be kept inform of the troubles, instead that nasty company is good only to ignore the client. Very professional. Change of the investor will change nothing, the staff is the same, paid to ignore the client.
Bye and good luck to all who stick with these thieves.

Re: 256 K Broadband

Staff? Are you of the incorrect assumption that this is an official NTL/TW/Virgin support forum? If so you are wrong. NTL etc staff do post here voluntarily to help, the team can also puch information through to NTL IF REQUESTED to do so by members with issues. Did you ask a team member for help?
