Additional set top box charges
If I order one of these, do I automatically get the same TV pack as on first box, in my case Family Pack, for the £15 or do I have to order pack for second box?

You get the same TV Packs, however, any pay per views watched you pay additionally for, depending on what STB they were watched on.

Re: Additional set top box charges
Thanks, was hoping that was the case.
Only problem now is that I can't find my TV bill! Only got Internet bill & don't think account number is the same ( perhaps I'm wrong?)
Cheers

Re: Additional set top box charges
doesn't matter...
the people you need to speak to are closed at the moment anyway
they will be able to find your details from your postcode/ phone number/ broadband account number, or any of those details so don't worry about it

Thanks for that
The reason I ask is that searching these forums I have found that there are offers on the web site which customer services often deny knowledge of. At the moment the web is offering free installation for second box but requires correct account number, which I will have on my next bill due shortly.
Also, I never seem to catch customer services open

Re: Additional set top box charges
Instead if getting a 2nd box, why not get a video sender instead. They're about £30 (Aldi often have a good one in), and it's a one-off payment, not a constant £15 a month.
We had a 2nd box in from day one (6yrs ago), but when they changed the fee from £5 a month to £15 a month I got it taken out because I thought it was extortionate. You're already paying your package subs, all you're getting is a 2nd outlet, no extra channels.
To be honest, we don't even use the video sender that much now, I'm normally on the PC up until I go to bed anyway nowadays, but it is a more cost effective option than a 2nd box at current prices.

Because you'd have to watch the same channel on both sets.
Glad I stumbled on thsi thread actually - my housemate wants a second box and I was wondering how much it would cost.

Re: Additional set top box charges
Unless something has changed dramatically in the last week the £15 per month is still the cost of the second STB monthly rental.

With the post being 4 months old I was just making sure it was the same price as I can find nothing from ntl's site. Mind you, I probably havent been looking in the right sections.
Is it just a basic call to ntl customer support and book a time slot for an engineer to come and install? Also is the installation free or a sub charge on top?
