If anyone's interested in the work we do (purely from an information POV, I'm not here to get cash out of ya... well, not today anyway )I'd love to help.

****ââ‚ ¬Ã‚¢ terms such as †˜thugâÃà ‚¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬Ã¢â€ž ¢, †˜yobâà¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬Ã¢â€žà ƒ‚¢ and †˜loutâÃà ‚¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ were commonly used to portray childrenââ‚à ƒ‚¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s identities in a sensationalised, negative light.
†¢ articles actively de-humanised young people involved in youth crime, using words such as heartless and evil.****

What would the author expect someone to say or think of a kid who had just commited criminal damage etc to their property?

***The over-riding message the report found was, †˜children in trouble were generally portrayed as callous or disrespectfulâ↚¬â„¢. SHAPE believes that hostile terms help to fuel the idea that children in trouble are trouble, with stories often being severly biased with no interest in portraying both sides of the story**

Again, not many victims would describe them otherwise. I think it was shocking that my parents were told by a police officer to consider dropping the claim for £350 worth of damage, because he is a nice boy...

The nice boy should be treated exactly the same as he treats others, this country has people who always look for a way to excuse people who act like this, broken home, poor.....the excuses never end.
