You’re minding your own business, walking down a busy High Street/mall/shopping centre, it starts raining so you pop into the nearest shop to keep dry, trip over the entrance mat on the way in, and a watch gets lodged onto your wrist - no amount of liquid soap will dislodge it, and to save further embarrassment/the police being called, you agree to pay for it.
