Yes, but from what we hear, that objection will be toast when the V6 comes out.
Virgin will be the only comprehensive provider of TV channels and streaming services, all in one box. That'a pretty good USP for most, I would suspect.
Techies aside, most people can't be doing with loads of boxes, streaming sticks, etc. This is an ideal solution for minimalists!

BT have already said they are aiming to add Amazon and bt/tt/plusnet all have nowtv (movies) aswell as netflix, uktv, and usual on demand players.
VM certainly are coming along leaps and bounds in the streaming market no doubt about that but their current tivo is a waste of space, their new one however is a whole different ball game but i feel many are going to be disappointed with it.
My android tv box leaves all of them in it's dust for streaming but we can't really compare that to vm.bt etc.
Also no idea if true but BT are (allegedly) testing a new tv box.
