If adding AMC would cost the same to VM as adding one of the channels you mention (Home, Shed, CBS Reality, Quest, Home and Health, etc.) then you would have a very good point. But because AMC is a premium channel, it will cost VM a heck of a lot more than the channels that you mention.
But because at the moment it is mainly showing repeats, many of which are available elsewhere, it is not worth it's premium cost.
Your Amazon Prime and Netflix subscriptions are currently giving you way more current AMC shows than you'd get if VM added AMC. - Into the Badlands Amazon Prime

I know that AMC in America is a premium channel, but is it also the case in the UK? Do BT subscribers have to pay an additional amount to get the channel or is it part of a bundle of channels?
