Re: Cooling off period?

You still have the 30 day cooling off period for the new contract, so you can cancel the new contract.

However...you still have to give Virgin 30 days notice to get cut off as an existing customer. Its the same for all ISP's.

So tell them that you want to cancel your services and as you understand it that means you will no longer be a customer after 19 July. Their disconnection department is also a sales department so will try their hardest to keep you as a customer. They will ask who your new supplier is and going by my own and others experiences here, they will lie to you about problems with other providers. Bottom line, if they offer you a cheaper deal and you think virgin offer you a reliable service, then take it. Otherwise tell them where to stick it.

You will only have to pay virgin your final months fee's, up until the cancellation date.

I misread this the first time. They can only put you on a new contract if you have called them and made a change to services. If you have done this in the last week, then that is why. Even so you can still ignore the new contract as it is within the 30 days for new contracts.
